As I was dragging all our laundry down to the laundry room (hip hip hooray, it's our time slot!), one of two little swedish girls from upstairs calls out, "Hej Hej!" I look up and say "hi." The older girl says something to me in Swedish, then i ask her, "can you speak English?" She says, "Yes!" Then I ask, "How old are you?" She says, "Yes!" They follow me down to the laundry room and the little girl speaks Swedish to me again. I ask, "Can you say that in English?" She says, "Yes!" Then she says, "Good bye!" and they both run off. Later I ran into them again, and the same little girl said, "Hello!"
Kudos to her "English!" and her charm.
